Caribbean blue gem silica and cuprite come together to create a really nice contrast in this cabochon. This piece is an elongated free form tear drop shape and was cut in house here at Matt Reavis Minerals. The cuprite is more of a rust red color in person but wasn't appearing so on camera. The rough that this was cut from came from a find in Namibia. Measures 31x12x5mm and is 10.8 carats.
